    To Be the Iconic International Startup Campus

    Aiming to encourage the development of venture capital, to create a startup ecosystem, and to concur in supporting “Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency” and “Digital Nation, Innovative Economic Development Program” Policies, Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs(SMESA, MOEA) rejuvenates the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade Athlete’s Village and turns it into an international startup campus — Startup Terrace. With the support of industrial supply chain, market expansion, venture capitals, and resources and professionals for startups, SMESA is making Taiwan an important partner for innovative services in Asia in anticipation of startup development at home and abroad.

    We aim to create an internationally attractive startup ecosystem in Southern Taiwan. To boost startup development in southern Taiwan, the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup of Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs expands the "Asia New Bay Area 5G AIoT Innovation Park" project to connect global tech hubs, introduce international resources and innovative energy, and encourage domestic and foreign venture capital, all while balancing the development of northern and southern Taiwan. Therefore, with 5G and AIOT as the main focuses of development, Taiwan Startup Terrace is built in Kaohsiung as southern Taiwan’s international entrepreneurial community.
