In order to assist the development of new technology innovations, and in
accordance with the Regulations of the Ministry of Economic Affairs on Subsidy,
Incentives and Counseling for Industrial Innovation Activities, Small and Medium
Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), Ministry of Economic Affairs
organizes the Startup Challenge competition. The SMESA implements this
jointly with the Startup Terrace and Startup Terrace Kaohsiung – the two international entrepreneurial clusters in Taiwan, inviting large enterprises to propose topics on green technology covering: zero carbon emissions, and on health care issues.
The Challenge framework will be divided into the Green tech Category ,the Health care Category, and the City Category.
Through a selection and mentorship mechanisms, startups with innovative solutions will collaborate with major enterprises or cities to co-create value and expand market opportunities.
2025 Startup Challenge is now officially open for applications!
We sincerely invite startups focusing on sustainability, smart city solutions, and health tech to participate in this year’s challenge. Through real-world collaboration with industry and city partners, startups can accelerate the implementation of their technologies and gain access to valuable business and global market opportunities.
