Fukuoka, recognized as the innovation hub of Kyushu, has emerged in recent years as the premier gateway for foreign startups entering Japan, thanks to its high quality of life, low cost of living, and open entrepreneurial environment. Since being designated a “National Strategic Special Zone” in 2014, Fukuoka City has successfully attracted global entrepreneurs and investment capital through its Startup Visa program, the Fukuoka Growth Next (fgn.) international incubation facility, and flagship events such as “Ramen Tech.”
10 selected startups will receive financial support to go to Fukuoka in October, including opportunities in exhibit at Ramen Tech. In addition to the subsidy, participating teams will benefit from professional training, corporate matchmaking opportunities, connections with local public-sector agencies, and access to international resources—empowering them to penetrate the Japanese market and expand their global business prospects. Benefits for Selected Startups
Each startup will receive subsidies of NTD 30,000 (including tax).
Opportunity to participate in Ramen Tech 2025 in Japan, including an international exhibition booth and a pitch presentation slot.
Event exposure and marketing opportunities through Ramen Tech’s promotional channels.
Networking with Japanese investors, potential clients, and partners to establish a foothold in the Northeast Asian market.
Eligibility
Startups located at Startup Terrace Kaohsiung that meet all of the following criteria may apply:
Established within the last 8 years (incorporated after January 1, 2017). For biotech/medical startups, the establishment period may be within 10 years (incorporated after January 1, 2015).
Possess an innovative product or service, with at least a prototype or functional model already developed.
Preferably have a business development plan for the Japanese market, or prior business experience in Japan.
Team capability for overseas business expansion, including basic Japanese or fluent English communication skills.

On-site Program in Japan: October 6 – October 11, 2025 (dates may be adjusted slightly)
